We are currently looking for a Trainee/ Assistant Quantity Surveyor for our client on their site based in Cambridge.

Our client specialises in Design & Build, New Build, Refurbishments, Extensions, Remodelling and Conversions within in the Residential, Industrial and Commercial sectors.

The Assistant Quantity Surveyor will be getting hands-on training and development from an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor. They will be passing on all their skills and knowledge to the successful applicant.

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Roles and Responsibilities:

• Review project progress
• Cost Control and reporting
• To prepare timely valuations in accordance with the contract documents.
• To liaise with appropriate Contracts Managers and place appropriate orders with sub-contractors,.
• To value sub-contractor accounts.
• To manage contractual notices submitted to sub-contractors.
• To assist the Contract Managers in the preparation of any contractual letters to sub-contractors and/or clients.
• To raise sub-contractor orders and payment certificates from an online system.

• Be reliable and passionate in their work ability to work to deadlines
• Willing to undertake training and development when needed
